Christmas Ornament Fundraiser

The City of Sachse is starting a new holiday tradition this year by selling themed Christmas ornaments. Grab the first Sachse Christmas ornament for yourself or as a gift. Each brass ornament comes in a red gift box with a short history of the Sachse Public Library on the back.

Ornaments will be sold at the Sachse Public Library and the Michael J. Felix Community Center for $15 each, and all proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Sachse Public Library.

There will be a new ornament featured each year, so make sure to snag this one before we run out. Limited quantities are available.

Sachse Public Library Holiday Hours

The Due to holidays and City of Sachse events during the month of December, the Library will have a modified schedule on the following days:

The Library will close early at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7 for the City of Sachse's Christmas Extravaganza. The Christmas Extravaganza will kick-off with a parade of lights at 6 p.m. down Miles Road, ending at the Sachse Municipal Complex. The fun continues with a tree lighting at 7 p.m. in front of the Michael J. Felix Community Center, followed by Santa visits, train and hayrides, a petting zoo, winter wonderland and more from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

The Sachse Public Library will have a delayed opening at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14 due to a City of Sachse employee event. 

In observance of the Christmas and New Years holidays, the Sachse Public Library will be closed Friday, December 23 through Monday, December 26, and Saturday, December 31 through Monday, January 2. No library materials will be due back during these closings, so feel free to hold onto your books and DVDs until after the holiday.
