Christmas Extravaganza

It's almost time for the Sachse Annual Christmas Extravaganza! It will be held on Wednesday, December 7. We'll kick things off with a parade of lights at 6 p.m. down Miles Road that will end here at the City Municipal Complex, where the fun continues from 7-8:30 p.m. We'll have a tree lighting in front of the Michael J. Felix Community Center followed by Santa visits, train and hayrides, a petting zoo, winter wonderland and more!

New Sachse Christmas Ornaments

Hey Sachse! We're starting a new tradition this year. Grab the first Sachse Christmas ornament for yourself or as a gift. Each brass ornament comes in a red gift box with a short history of the Sachse Public Library on the back. Ornaments will be sold at the Library and Michael J. Felix Community Center (Sachse Parks & Recreation) for $15 each; all proceeds will be donated to Friends of the Sachse Public Library.

There will be a new ornament each year, so make sure to snag this one before we run out. There are limited quantities available.

Sachse PD Toy Drive

It's time for the Annual Toy Drive hosted by the Sachse Police Department!

Please donate new, unwrapped toys for our local kids this Holiday season.

Drop off your donations between November 16 and December 15 at the Sachse Police Department.

SPL Adult Craft Night

Get into the holiday spirit and join us for this month's Adult Craft Night on Thursday, December 8 at 6 p.m.! We will be making beautiful holiday cards with a talented guest instructor, Carol's Calligraphy.

**Please note that we will be starting the class at 6 p.m. (a little earlier than usual). A limited number of tickets will be available first come, first served, starting at 5:30 p.m.

As a reminder, some residences may see a change in their bulk/brush collection schedule. Direct notification was sent to those affected (a specific area in Woodbridge West), so if you have not been contacted, your route has not changed.

Discover Your Bulk & Brush Collection Day

The City has new times to set out your bulk trash and brush collection. Bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

Please Note: no more than 6 cubic yards of brush/bulk are allowed to be out on the curb at one time.
