Weekly Summer Story Times

During the months of June and July, kids and parents can join us each week for Story Time at the Sachse Public Library!

Each Wednesday, the Library will host a Family Story Time for all ages at 10:30 a.m. Kids will enjoy lots of songs, rhymes, stories, and more during this interactive weekly Story Time program.

Parents of babies up to 18 months old are invited to attend Baby Bounce Story Time each Friday at 10:30 a.m. This Story Time program is geared towards a younger audience, and features lots of parent/child interaction.

Please note, there will be no Library events during the week of July 4-8. Family Story Time and Baby Bounce will resume the following week on Wednesday, July 13 and Friday, July 15, respectively.

Library Closed for Independence Day

In observance of Independence Day, the Sachse Public Library will be closed from Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4. The Library will automatically renew items that are due during this time, so there is no need to return books, DVDs, or other items to the Library over the holiday weekend.

The Sachse Public Library will re-open on Tuesday, July 5 from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. for our normal hours of operation.

Due to the Independence Day holiday, there will be no events at the Sachse Public Library during the week of July 4-8. Instead, we invite you to visit to check out our collection of books, DVDs, games, and other items, as well as the Library's numerous online services.

From now until July 30, readers of all ages can participate in the 10-Hour Reading Challenge! For every 10 hours (600 minutes) spent reading, readers will earn an entry into one of our awesome prize drawings.

This year, readers can enter to win awesome prizes, including family memberships to the Dallas World Aquarium and the Perot Museum, four different tablets, a Nintendo Switch Lite and much more, all donated by the Friends of the Sachse Public Library. Plus, this year, readers can also enter to win four tickets to see the Frisco Roughriders baseball game on Wednesday, August 10, including free food, drinks, and parking, donated by Teqnavi.

To be eligible, all reading time must be entered and prize drawing entries selected no later than Saturday, July 30.
