Girl Scout Gold Award!
At Monday's City Council meeting, Mayor Bickerstaff presented a proclamation to Ms. Arissa McGowan for her achievement in receiving the Girl Scout GOLD award!
Arissa's project "Cognitive Crafts for Kids" included working with Jewish Family Services to provide over 250 craft kits for their clients to help occupy the children at home or at the facility.
Arissa just graduated from Wylie High School and we can't wait to see what her future has in store. Keep shining Arissa!
2022 Sachse Red, White, and Blue Blast
We're almost a week away from the Sachse Red, White, and Blue Blast!
There will be live entertainment by the Party Machine band, a hula hoop contest, food trucks, yard games, carnival rides, vendor booths and of course, fireworks. Bring your lawn chairs and join us for an evening of good, old-fashioned family fun!
Contact Cynthia Wiseman if you're interested in having a vendor booth!
Two of our School Resource Officers received commendations for their commitment to the Sachse Community.
Officer Morris showed her initiative in preparation for Cops and Campers by working with external sources to help create a meaningful and successful program.
Officer Price demonstrated his compassion when he recognized one of his students riding a bicycle that was unsafe and in disrepair. His concern lead to him purchasing a new bicycle for the student.
Join us in thanking these two officers for outstanding work!
