Summer Reading Begins Saturday!
The Sachse Public Library’s annual Summer Reading Program begins this Saturday, June 4 with our Summer Reading Kick-Off Party, and you don’t want to miss out on any of the fun! We invite you to join us at the Library this Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. – noon for lots of outdoor activities, including a petting zoo, inflatables, outdoor games, and FREE popsicles from Frios Pops, provided by the Friends of the Sachse Public Library!
Saturday is also the first day to participate in the 10-Hour Reading Challenge, where kids, teens, and adults can earn entries for prize drawings. The more you read, the more chances you have to win one of these awesome prizes! This year’s prizes include:
- Dallas World Aquarium Family Membership
- Perot Museum Basic Family Membership
- 2 Kindle Fire HD 10 Tablets
- 2 Kindle Fire HD 8 Kids Tablets
- Razor A5 DLX Kick Scooter

You can also enter to win tickets to the Frisco Roughriders baseball game on Wednesday, August 10, including:
- A set of four tickets to see the Frisco Roughriders play the San Antonio Missions on Wednesday, August 10 at 7:05 p.m.
- Access to the Founders Club concession stand, including free food and drinks
- Founders Club Parking

The Summer Reading Kick-Off Party is just beginning! Join us each week for special events and performers, including an African Drum and Storytelling show by Baba Kwasi next Tuesday, June 7 at 7 p.m., and birds of prey from the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center on Tuesday, June 14 at 7 p.m.
