Summer Reading Begins on June 4
The Sachse Public Library's annual Summer Reading Challenge is here again! This year's Summer Reading theme is "Oceans of Possibilities," and we invite you to join us on an undersea reading adventure from June 4 through July 30, 2022.
Kids, teens, and adults of all ages are all invited to participate in the 10-Hour Reading Challenge. For every 10 hours (600 minutes) spent reading, participants will earn an entry into one of our awesome prize drawings. To be eligible, all reading time must be entered no later than Saturday, July 30.
You won't want to miss any of this year's Summer Reading special events! The Summer Reading fun begins on Saturday, June 4th with our Summer Reading Kick-Off Party, where kids and families can enjoy a petting zoo, inflatables, outdoor games, and FREE popsicles from Frios Pops, courtesy of the Friends of the Sachse Public Library!
The fun doesn't stop there! Join us each week for events and performers, showcasing exciting music, amazing animals, wacky science and more! Plus, don't miss out on weekly activities at the Library, including movies, Story Times, and crafts!
Summer Reading 2022 ends on Saturday, July 30 with our Summer Reading Finale Party. Join us as we celebrate a summer filled with reading at this awesome event, featuring inflatables, outdoor games, and FREE shaved ice from Bahama Bucks! The Finale is the last day to enter your reading time, so don't miss out on your chance to win one of our prize drawings! This year's prizes are made possible by a generous donation from the Friends of the Sachse Public Library.
