Public Safety Day

A reminder that “Public Safety Day”, is TOMORROW, Saturday, September 18 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Sachse Public Safety Building located at 3815-D Sachse Road, Sachse, Texas 75048.

We have invited other police and fire agencies as well as other organizations that are public safety related to join in. This will be a fun and educational event for both children and adults, with numerous displays and demonstrations from both police and fire. Sachse Fire-Rescue will also be offering FREE COVID vaccinations at the fire department.

Some of what you can expect to see and experience at this event:

•  Police & Fire vehicle and equipment displays.
•  Guided tours of the Sachse Public Safety Building.
•  Carter Blood Care donation center with a “Battle of the Badges”
    blood donation drive.
•  Sachse Animal Shelter Pet adoption specials.
•  Kid print and DNA packets for your child’s protection.
•  VIN etching service.
•  Police motorcycle (cone course) demonstration.
•  Police volunteers and CERT displays.
•  Finger-print demonstration.
•  Dunk Tank with proceeds being donated to charity.
•  Free food, ice cream and a bounce house.

This free event kicks off our annual National Night Out initiative scheduled for Tuesday, October 5, and is a great opportunity to learn more about public safety in our city and how we can partner together to keep Sachse a great place to live, work and raise a family. We look forward to seeing you there!

X-Treme Green Event

Join us as the City of Sachse and Community Waste Disposal host the annual X-treme Green event. Stop by the Municipal Complex on Saturday, September 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to dispose of the following items:


Electronic Waste (extra cost for CRTs)
Bulk Trash

Cardboard
Household Hazardous Waste
Appliances
Tires (no rims)
Trees and Yard Waste
Document Shredding
Complimentary Cart Washing


This event is for Sachse residents only.

A Sachse utility bill or valid driver's license with Sachse address will be required.

Congratulations to Trinity Regional Hospital Sachse on the new facility! This facility will be able to provide patient focused care to our community and the communities that surround us. Sachse is excited for this addition to our city.

Make sure you stop by the Sachse Animal Shelter (6436 Sachse Road) and adopt a new furry friend! This event will end this week on September 19, so take advantage of no adoption fees until then. Happy Tails!

City Council Meeting

The Sachse City Council will meet Monday, September 20. The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the regular meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Join us in the Council Chambers at Sachse City Hall (3815 Sachse Road) or watch it live online.

Cars Under the Stars

The Sachse Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Community BBQ & Grill for their annual car show parade. Sponsor and car participants will receive a $10 gift card toward a meal that evening. Meet up at Community BBQ & Grill after the event for food and networking. The parade begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, starting at the Sachse High School parking lot (3901 Miles Road). Registration for car participants is $10 and you can sign-up here. Hope to see you there!

Discover Your Bulk & Brush Collection Day

The City has new times to set out your bulk trash and brush collection. Bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

Please Note: no more than 6 cubic yards of brush/bulk are allowed to be out on the curb at one time.

Sachse's Chart For COVID-19 Info

Sachse maintains a list of active/recovered patients on its COVID-19 webpage. The chart includes the number of active cases, where the cases are located by county, the gender of the patients, status of the patients
(e.g., hospitalized, self-quarantined) and the number of recovered cases.
