X-Treme Green Event

Join us as the City of Sachse and Community Waste Disposal host the annual X-treme Green event. Stop by the Municipal Complex on Saturday, September 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to dispose of the following items:


 Electronic Waste (extra cost for CRTs)
Bulk Trash

Cardboard
Household Hazardous Waste
Appliances
Tires (no rims)
Trees and Yard Waste
Document Shredding
 Complimentary Cart Washing


This event is for Sachse residents only.

A Sachse utility bill or valid driver's license with
Sachse address will be required.

Clear the Shelter EXTENDED

We had so much fun this week, we've decided to EXTEND the Clear the Shelters event to September 19! The Sachse Animal Shelter will continue to offer "no adoption fees" until September 19. If you're looking for a new furry addition to the family, this is the time to add one! Head on down to the Sachse Animal Shelter and pick up a new friend.  




CWD Labor Day

CWD Labor Day Schedule

Trash and recycle services will be delayed one day, due to the Labor Day holiday the week of September 6. If your collection day is on Monday, it will move to Tuesday, if it is on Tuesday, it will move to Wednesday, and so forth. Please set all carts out by 7 a.m. on your scheduled collection day, but no earlier than 5 p.m. the evening before. As always, a friendly reminder to make sure that carts are separated by at least three feet, and three feet away from obstacles, such as mailboxes, fences, and vehicles.

New Michael J. Felix Community Center Hours Of Operation

Starting in September, the Michael J. Felix Community Center will have new hours of operation. The community center will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Community Center will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Bond 2021

City Council Approves Bond 2021 Election

On Monday, August 16, the Sachse City Council voted to approve a Bond Election to be held in November, 2021. The ballot will include four proposals. The Bond Package was formed through feedback, engagement and recommendations that staff received from residents and the 2021 Bond Committee. You can find more details on the Bond Package here. More information coming soon. 

Discover Your Bulk & Brush Collection Day

The City has new times to set out your bulk trash and brush collection. Bulk trash needs to be placed out no earlier than 48 hours prior to your scheduled collection day. What about brush? It goes out on the Saturday prior to your collection day.

Please Note: no more than 6 cubic yards of brush/bulk are allowed to be out on the curb at one time.

Sachse's Chart For COVID-19 Info

Sachse maintains a list of active/recovered patients on its COVID-19 webpage. The chart includes the number of active cases, where the cases are located by county, the gender of the patients, status of the patients
(e.g., hospitalized, self-quarantined) and the number of recovered cases.
