Library Hours Expanding

Great news! The Sachse Public Library is now open on Monday again and until 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

We're so happy to be back to our normal hours again after more than a year! With more hours to browse for books, DVDs and more, we invite you to come and visit us again soon.

Join us for Story Time!

Story Time is back! Families with children ages 0-5 are invited to join us for Story Time each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. We hope to see you there!

Attendance is limited for in-person Story Times. Tickets will be available at the front desk 30 minutes prior to each program.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Parents, did you know that reading to your child when they are young is one of the best ways to encourage their future success in school? The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program provides an easy way for parents to track the books you read to your baby or preschooler.

Reading 1,000 books may sound difficult, but the entire program can be completed in as little as one year by reading just three books each night at bedtime, and reading the same book multiple times is great for your child's development!

You can track the number of books you read to your child online with our Virtual Reading Challenge site, or using the Beanstack app. You'll earn digital badges along the way, and receive a free book after completing the 1,000 Books program!
