Register For COVID-19 Vaccine

The Garland Health Department (GHD) is accepting registrations for the COVID-19 vaccine waiting list. To register, click here. The vaccine is free and voluntary. Vaccination events are scheduled as additional vaccine supply is received.

COVID-19 vaccine is still in very limited supply and being prioritized to Phase 1A health care workers and first responders. A small number of vaccines may be available through GHD for adults who meet the Phase 1B criteria (65 and older, or those with underlying medical conditions).
To register for the vaccine with GHD at this time, you need to be:
• In Phase 1A or Phase 1B
• At least 18 years old
• A resident or employee of the cities of Garland, Rowlett or Sachse

GHD strongly recommends all eligible persons register to receive the vaccine. Those receiving the COVID-19 vaccine will have the immunization noted on their official IMMTRAC vaccine record.

More COVID-19 vaccines will become available as manufacturing and distribution ramp up. Monitor the City of Garland’s Twitter and Facebook pages for updates. Also, the City of Sachse will continue to provide updates as information becomes available.

Using the online form is the fastest way to get on the list. Please assist family and friends without internet access in completing the form if you are able. Those who are unable to complete the online form can register over the phone by calling the City of Garland’s COVID-19 Hotline at 972-205-3900, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The hotline is currently open seven days a week.

The Garland Health Department is the health authority for Sachse. This means that vaccines made available through the GHD are available to ALL Sachse residents-regardless of which county they reside in.

Aware and prepared. We’ve got you.

Team Up to Fight Hunger

Team Up to Fight Hunger

Team Up to Fight Hunger is a collaboration of Sachse, Wylie, Murphy and area community partners to provide food to people and families in need while supporting local restaurants.

Families receive vouchers after completing a screening process with participating area food banks. Families can then take the vouchers to participating local restaurants, who have curated special menus for the families to choose from when ordering their meals. Each voucher is valued at $40 and provides a meal for a family of four. Families can go online at
www.TeamUptoFightHunger.com/vouchers  for the latest update about participating restaurants in the area and to check what each restaurant is serving for its customized meal.

City Hall is temporarily closed to the public. This protects residents and staff from further spread of the COVID-19 virus. The Michael J. Felix Community Center and the Sachse Public Library remain open, but are closely monitored for social distancing, wearing masks and limiting the number of people in the facilities. Thank you for your flexibility as we continue to serve Sachse residents.
