Candy Chute

Chute! Catch Candy with Sachse Public Safety

The Sachse Police Department and

Sachse Fire-Rescue  are hosting a drive through candy chute at the Public Safety Building from 6-9 p.m. tomorrow...Halloween!

Trick-or-treaters simply pull into the parking lot in front of the building, exit their car and receive candy from the candy chute located by the stairs! Unfortunately, for health and safety reasons, there won't be any photographs with staff this year. After catching your candy, exit the parking lot to allow the next trick-or-treater in line to have their turn. See y’all soon!

Staying Safe is No Trick or Treat

Can't make the Pumpkin Express? Planning on being out of town? Want advice to share with others? Don't get tricked this Halloween, staying safe is the biggest treat!

Don't put you or your family at risk. Here are a few tips on traditional activities to avoid:

  • Halloween gatherings, events, parties with non-household members, and bars.
  • Carnivals, festivals, haunted houses and live entertainment.
  • Door-to-door trick or treating.
  • Trunk or Treat events.
Instead, Dallas County experts recommend other activities to have fun and enjoy Halloween...while protecting your health. Here are a few activities which are safe and spooky:
  • Online parties/contests.
  • Car parades.
  • Halloween movie nights, at home or try a night at the drive-in movie theater.
  • Halloween-themed meals with your family at home or in an outdoor setting at your favorite restaurants.
  • Scavenger hunt style candy searches around your home or yard with family members.
If you go out for Halloween, please remember to wear your mask, maintain social distancing, wash your hands frequently and get your flu shot. Avoiding illness is the ultimate treat.

Team Up to Fight Hunger

Team Up to Fight Hunger

Team Up to Fight Hunger is a collaboration of Sachse, Wylie, Murphy and area community partners to provide food to people and families in need while supporting local restaurants.

Families receive vouchers after completing a screening process with participating area food banks. Families can then take the vouchers to participating local restaurants, who have curated special menus for the families to choose from when ordering their meals. Each voucher is valued at $40 and provides a meal for a family of four. Families can go online at
www.TeamUptoFightHunger.com/vouchers  for the latest update about participating restaurants in the area and to check what each restaurant is serving for its customized meal.
