Due to the continuing weather conditions and the weather delays impacting the ongoing street maintenance work, the City is closing Sachse Road from SH 78 to 5^th Street.  Though traffic signage has been in place re-directing motorists to 5^th Street, there remains a significant traffic volume on the street, which when combined with the wet weather is causing severe potholes and ruts in the milled subgrade surface.  For safety reasons, the City is closing the street to thru traffic.  Residents on the street will have access to their homes via the cross streets of Billingsley and Alexander.  Please use caution while traversing the active construction project.
