On Monday, October 8th, the City will begin
street maintenance work on Sachse Road from State Highway 78 to 5th Street. During this work, the road will remain open to traffic for residents living in this area. However, it is highly recommended for all thru traffic to utilize 5th Street. The work will take approximately 7-14 days, depending upon weather.
The same contractor will also be performing street
maintenance on Sachse Road from Oakridge Circle to the eastern City
Limit. This work will begin shortly after the first segment from SH 78 to
5th Street is complete, and take approximately 14-21 days to complete. During this work, the road will remain open to traffic for residents living in this area. However, it is highly recommended for all Wylie traffic to utilize State Highway 78, and for Sachse traffic to use Woodbridge Parkway to access Sachse Road west of the construction area. The work will take approximately 7-14 days, depending upon weather.
Attached is a map of the maintenance work locations. These maintenance activities are not part of the Sachse Road widening project, which is currently in the utility relocation phase. Please observe all traffic control devices and use caution while traveling through this area.
