[ARCHIVED] Dallas County to Conduct Aerial Mosquito Spraying in Rowlett

The City of Rowlett will conduct aerial mosquito spraying this evening, August 23rd, starting at 9:00 pm and concluding at 1:00 am. Since the City of Sachse shares a common border with Rowlett, you will see planes flying in and near to Sachse to turn around and perform spraying in the City of Rowlett. Sachse has been informed by Dallas County and the company responsible for mosquito spraying that you will see planes beginning to release the pesticide while outside of the target City. Although you will see airplanes releasing pesticide while flying over Sachse, we have been informed that due to the "drift" of the pesticide, it will actually land in the target City. If you observe anything to the contrary, please contact Billy Ho, Environmental Health Inspector at 469.429.4788. Thank you.
