We were notified by Dallas County that a mosquito carrying West Nile Virus was detected in Sachse. Dallas County handles the mosquito trapping and testing for all Sachse—including the Collin County portion of the city. Dallas County notified the City that the positive trap was collected from Zone One, which is located north of SH 78. Dallas County Health and Human Services has scheduled sprayings to occur in Zone One for two nights (Tuesday and Wednesday). The details of the spraying and a map of Zone One are listed below for reference. In addition, the County has an interactive map where residents can zoom in on specific locations to see if they will be in the spraying area.
