The City Council of the City of Sachse amended Section 6-11 (Trash and Bulk Storage/Pick-up) of Chapter 6 "Health and Sanitation" of its Code of Ordinances. This amendment was done to better align the regulations within that code to the current collection services offered by Community Waste Disposal (CWD), the City’s solid waste provider.
• Bulk trash (appliances, mattresses, old furniture, etc.) items shall not be placed out for collection earlier than 48 hours before the designated collection day. For example, if your normal collection day is a Wednesday, you may not place your bulk items out for collection until Monday.
• Brush items (tree limbs, yard waste, grass clippings, any other vegetation, etc.) shall not be placed out for collection earlier than the Saturday before the designated collection day.
• Toys and yard tools tagged as, “Bulk Item”
• Furniture
• Bundled carpet in 4' lengths
• Fence panels no larger than 4’x6’
• Washing machines and dryers
• Water heaters and kitchen appliances
• Refrigerators/freezers (must be tagged certifying removal of refrigerants)
• Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)
• Tires
• Batteries
• Propane tanks
• Loose construction and remodeling debris
• Loose household debris (Debris must be placed in a box or other disposable container no larger than 2’x2’x4’ and weighing no more than 50 pounds.)
• Must not exceed six cubic yards
• Must be placed on the park strip (or approved area) in front of your property.
• Must not block or interfere with the public rights of way (sidewalk and street).
