Bulk Trash

The City Council of the City of Sachse amended Section 6-11 (Trash and Bulk Storage/Pick-up) of Chapter 6 "Health and Sanitation" of its Code of Ordinances. This amendment was done to better align the regulations within that code to the current collection services offered by Community Waste Disposal (CWD), the City’s solid waste provider.

Specifically, the City Council authorized the following changes:

• Bulk trash (appliances, mattresses, old furniture, etc.) items shall not be placed out for collection earlier than 48 hours before the designated collection day. For example, if your normal collection day is a Wednesday, you may not place your bulk items out for collection until Monday.

• Brush items (tree limbs, yard waste, grass clippings, any other vegetation, etc.) shall not be placed out for collection earlier than the Saturday before the designated collection day.
