Welcome to Sachse from Mayor Bickerstaff
Sachse sits close enough to take advantage of the large-city amenities of Dallas, Plano, Garland, and Richardson but is still small enough to enjoy a more relaxed suburban/country feel. We have a safe, family-oriented, welcoming community with a small-town atmosphere. With a population of roughly 27,000, our community events rival any found in the Metroplex. You can find something fun to do for every season and holiday.
The President George Bush Turnpike and the Highway 78 corridor offer a multitude of opportunities for businesses and residents in Sachse. We are open for business and look for those industries and organizations that complement our diverse culture and atmosphere. We aim to provide opportunity for our residents and surrounding communities to work, live, play, and dine.
If you're looking for a new place to call home, our comparatively low tax rate combined with above average sales tax revenues makes living in Sachse a sound investment in anyone’s book. We pride ourselves in fiscal responsibility of tax payer's money while planning ahead for our current and future residents. We are proud to present a transparent financial plan contained within these webpages.
Whether you are a first-time visitor or actively looking to call Sachse home for your family or business, I whole-heartedly welcome you on behalf of the City Council, City staff, and the entire community. To us, Sachse just feels like home; we hope you’ll think so too.
