HOW TO OBTAIN A LIBRARY CARD
You may obtain a
Sachse Public Library Card by simply filling out an application at the library
or printing one
here and bringing it to the library. A valid Texas driver's
license or other photo identification which verifies the
information provided is required.
The following rules apply to those seeking library cards:
-
Identification showing
current home address is required to obtain a card. Name and telephone
number of an area contact must also be furnished on card application.
-
Children may apply for
a card with parent's identification and signature.
-
Patrons issued a new
card are able to check out five items for the first checkout.
-
After the initial
checkout, patrons may check out as many items as they wish. However,
patrons are limited to four videos.
-
Patrons will need to
present their card each time they check out items. The library will not
check out any materials without a card. Lost or stolen cards need to be
reported immediately. Replacement cards are available for $1.00.
-
All materials may be
renewed unless they are on reserve. The library is able to renew loan
periods over the phone.
-
Checkout period: Books
and audio materials can be checked out for three weeks and videos are
loaned for one week. Fines for overdue materials are 5 cents per day
and $1.00 per day for videos.
