Arbor Day Jubilee: Team Up & Clean Up - Volunteer Lunch Sponsor

Join other volunteers throughout Sachse to help out and give back to our community in recognition of the Great American Cleanup.  Free gift trees will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis in celebration of Arbor Day.  To register your family or group call the Parks and Recreation Department  at 469.429.0275 or you may also complete and submit this form online and staff will contact you shortly.  Volunteers will be provided with lunch afterwards and there                                     will be entertainment to follow by the Daughter Judy Band.

H2O XPO
Join us for Sachse's 2nd H2O XPO. There will be demonstrations and exhibits held on water conservation, drought tolerant planting, and sprinkler maintenance.  Residents that attend the event can earn a $10 water bill credit by registering for watermyyard.org at the Utility Billing Booth that day.    For more information view our event flyer

Citywide Trash Collection and Recycling Event
Sachse residents will have an opportunity to drop off trash, debris, brush and appliances at our 6th annual citywide trash collection event. Republic Services will provide collection of e-waste, hazardous waste, and document shredding. Goodwill will also be onsite collecting clothing, toys and used item donations.  This event is for Sachse Residents only.  You may be asked to show proof of Sachse residency.    Please contact the Sachse Parks & Recreation Department if you have any questions about accepted items at 469.429.0275.  Click here to view a map of the City Complex and where items can be dropped off.

       e-waste, hazardous waste, Goodwill, and document shredding)

Acceptable Hazardous Waste Items:  Latex, Universal paint, Flammable liquid (gasoline, etc.), antifreeze, Corrosives, Toxic liquids, Toxic solids, Aerosols, Oxidizers solid, Non-haz liquids, Non-haz solids, Universal batteries, Used oil, Used oil filters, Propane cylinders, Fire Extinguishers, Helium cylinders, Tires, Freon, Oxygen, Bulbs 4 foot, Bulbs 8 foot, Small bulbs

Acceptable Electronic Waste Items:  computers, laptops, computer accessories, computer monitors, televisions, printers, DVD/CD Players, Copiers/Fax Machines, Typewriters, Telephones, Cell Phones and Chargers, GPS Units, Pagers, PDA’s, Tablets, Answering Machines, MP3 Players, Scanners, External Hard Drives, Radios & Boom Box, video and camera equipment, communications equipment, video game systems, cable boxes/DVR, cables, wires, power cords, power strips, and microwaves.

Non Acceptable Hazardous Waste and Electronic Items:  smoke detectors, medical waste, medicine, no radioactives, explosives (i.e. ammunition, fireworks, gunpowder, etc.), yard equipment, gas powered equipment, water coolers, paper shredders, space heaters, wooden speakers, crock pots, Christmas tree lights, electronic blankets, exercise equipment, and garbage disposals.
