Garbage
For
residential customers, waste is collected in your BLUE 95 gallon cart once
per week. If you have an alley, your
trash will be picked up in the alley. Otherwise, you must place your polycart curbside by 7:00 am of your designated trash day.
to view a map. Carts should be placed with lid hinges of cart
pointing towards the house.
Please visit the Allied Waste
Services
website at
www.alliedwastedfw.com for more information and service request or
you may call AWS customer service at 972.422.2341.
Recycling
Recycling
is serviced in your GREEN 95 gallon cart every other week, the same day as
your trash pickup. Place your recycling cart in the same location as
your trash cart. Place carts at least two feet apart from each other.
View the map above to determine if your recycling area is blue or yellow.
Then
click here for a pickup schedule. Cart should be placed with lid
hinges of cart pointing towards the house.
Accepted in the
Recycling Cart
Plastic containers #1, #2, #3, #4,
#5, and #7, glass jars and bottles of any
color, (no ceramics or plate glass), aluminum and tin cans, all junk mail, chipboard (including
cereal/cracker boxes), corrugated cardboard, newsprint, magazines, catalogs,
computer paper, and stationary.
NOT Accepted
in the Recycling Cart
They CANNOT pick up plastic film,
bubble wrap or
bags, no types of Styrofoam, kitchen or yard waste, plastic motor oil
bottles, batteries of any type, water hoses, electrical cords, and

or questions about recycling and the environment, visit Allied Waste
Services (AWS) website at

Some Helpful Hints: Flatten out cardboard boxes and
place them in your GREEN 95 gallon recycling cart. If boxes are large such as moving boxes or appliance
boxes, please cut them into smaller sizes to fit in your cart. All
items must be placed inside the cart. It can no longer be picked up
outside of the cart.
Bulky Trash / Brush
Items
Bulky / brush
items are collected once per month, limit of 12 cubic yards, during the second Wednesday week of the month, the week in which the second Wednesday of the month falls
(except in December when bulk pickup is scheduled
after Christmas) and on the same
day as your 95 gallon trash cart is serviced.
Click
here for service days. Please place bulky / brush out front
curb side, NOT IN THE ALLEY. The bulk trash trucks are too large to
drive down our alleys, so bulk pickup will always be in the front, curb
side. Place your bulk trash out by 7:00 am
on your service day with trash during the week the second Wednesday of the
month falls. Sachse has an ordinance
which prohibits residents from placing bulk items out prior to the Monday of
the week of pick up.
Allied Waste will pick
up bulky / brush, furniture, appliances (items with freon must be drained of
all freon and TAGGED BY LICENSED AIR/HEATING COMPANY), and other large items not to exceed
12 cubic yards (Example: back of four pickup trucks or 6' x 6' x 9' area).
If it is tree trimmings, they must be cut and bundled in four foot
sections. The term "bundle" shall be defined as tree branches, shrubs and brush
trimmings securely tied together forming an easily handled package, not exceeding four feet
(4') in length, six inches (6") in diameter, or 50 pounds in weight.
