Will the city respond to a sewer back-up at my residence or business?

The city is responsible for sewer main lines and service lateral line repairs up to the customer’s property line. If the back up is on the city lines please call the Public Works Department at 972.495.7600 during normal business hours, on weekends, holiday and from 5pm to 8am call Police Dispatch at 972.495.2271, option 2 and a crew will be dispatched. If the back-up occurs in the City line, the crew will clear the line. If there is a blockage in the customer line, we will notify you.
