Join Us for Our Weekly Story Times!

Families with children ages 0-5 are invited to join us for Story Time each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Sachse Public Library. Kids and their parents will enjoy songs, rhymes, and stories each week. We hope to see you there!

Attendance is limited for in-person Story Times. Tickets will be available at the front desk 30 minutes prior to each program.

Check out the Library's online collection of eBooks and audiobooks available from CloudLibrary! Borrowers can check out up to five eBooks or audiobooks for 21 days each.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Parents, did you know that reading to your child when they are young is one of the best ways to encourage their future success in school? The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program provides an easy way for parents to track the books you read to your baby or preschooler.

Reading 1,000 books may sound difficult, but the entire program can be completed in as little as one year by reading just three books each night at bedtime, and reading the same book multiple times is great for your child's development!

You can track the number of books you read to your child online with our Virtual Reading Challenge site, or using the Beanstack app. You'll earn digital badges along the way, and receive a free book after completing the 1,000 Books program!
