Summer Reading Begins June 5th

The Sachse Public Library's annual Summer Reading Challenge is here again! This year's Summer Reading theme is "Tails and Tales," and we invite you to discover all about the amazing animals that inhabit our planet.

Kids, teens, and adults of all ages are all invited to participate in this year's 20-Hour Reading Challenge. For every 20 hours (1,200 minutes) spent reading, participants will earn an entry into one of our awesome prize drawings.

You won't want to miss any of this year's Summer Reading special events, including amazing animals, yo-yo tricks, and wacky bubbles! Teens ages 12-18 can also participate in our first ever Tiny Art Show.

To sign-up for the Summer Reading Program, visit our Virtual Reading Challenge site at www.cityofsachse.beanstack.org, or download the Beanstack app. If you participated in last year's Summer Reading Challenge, or the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program, you can use the same login and password to sign up for this year's Summer Reading Challenge.

"What's Up With Your Tail," June 5th at 10:30 a.m.

Register Now for "What's Up With Your Tail?" Virtual Animal Show

The first Library event of the summer is an amazing virtual animal show called "What's Up With Your Tail?", presented by wildlife education specialist Cindi Cavallini on Saturday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. During this exciting virtual show, Cindi will teach kids about all of the awesome things animals can do with their tails.

This is a virtual event, and attendees must pre-register online at www.cityofsachse.com/tail. A link to the virtual show will be sent by email prior to the performance.
