The City of Sachse received notice of a second positive COVID-19 case from the Garland Health Authority. The individual is a 46-year-old man who lives in the same household as our first case. All members of the household are in quarantine at home.

To protect the individual’s privacy, we aren't releasing personal detail. The Garland Health Authority, which serves as the regional health authority for Sachse, is closely monitoring the situation and is in contact with Sachse officials.

In addition to keeping you aware of developing conditions, the City of Sachse urges you to adhere to the shelter in place order. If you must leave your home to run errands for essential items or to seek medical care, please practice social distancing to slow the spread of the virus. As a reminder, the shelter in place order applies to the entire city of Sachse, regardless of which county you reside in.

The City of Sachse received notice of its first positive COVID-19 case from the Garland Health Authority. The individual is a 58-year old woman. She is in quarantine along with three additional members of her household.

City Operations Modified with new Shelter in Place Orders

City operations will be slightly modified due to the new Shelter in Place Order effective for the entire city. All department phones will be monitored by City staff to answer and resident needs. A rotating skeleton crew will be in place to ensure that City employees remain safe and are practicing the required social distancing.

Police and Fire operations will continue as normal.
