Sachse Road / 5th Street (Widening) - In partnership with Dallas County. Project, Sachse Road will be widened to a four-lane thoroughfare (two lanes in each direction). The project includes improvements to the drainage, water and sanitary sewer systems, upgraded traffic signals and a roundabout at the intersection of Sachse Road/West Creek Lane/5th Street. Engineering is complete and construction has begun. Completion of the first section from 78 to Miles is anticipated mid-2022.
Merritt Road Realignment - Four-lane divided thoroughfare (two lanes in each direction). The project includes improvements to the drainage, water, and sewer systems as well as new and upgraded traffic signals. Currently, the project is in the design stage. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2022.
Sanitary Sewer System Master Plan
Southeast Sewer Expansion System - Project is currently in design, to construct sanitary sewer improvements from Sachse Road at the eastern City Limit to the sewer connection at the northeast corner of Miles Road and PGBT. The project will bring sanitary sewer to the Turnpike corridor and the southeast quadrant of the city. Once design is complete, the project will move toward construction, likely in two phases, and includes a new lift station and trail.
Bunker Hill Sewer Upgrade - Under construction and expected to finish by summer. Project includes construction of a large diameter sewer main from Heritage Park to Bunker Hill Road.
Southeast Water Tower - Complete.
